Terms of Service

These Terms of Service outline the agreement between you and Maple Grove Organics regarding the use of our website, purchase of products, subscription services, and participation in programs. By using our site or placing an order you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. We provide organic produce, pantry items, and family meal plans across Ontario, Canada. Our goal is clear and straightforward: deliver quality organic food and services while ensuring healthy, safe, and transparent practices. The terms below cover eligibility, orders and payments, subscriptions, delivery and returns, intellectual property, liability limitations, privacy practices, dispute resolution, and other important provisions. These terms work together with our Privacy Policy and other posted policies such as shipping and returns. The effective date of these terms is shown at the top of this page and may be updated periodically. When updates occur, we will post the revised terms on this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders of material changes. Please review these terms carefully and contact our support team for clarification or questions about how they apply to your specific situation.

Eligibility and account responsibilities

To place orders or subscribe to services you must be at least 18 years of age and capable of forming a binding contract under applicable law. When registering for an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that present security or fraud concerns. For households ordering for minors, the adult account holder accepts responsibility for all orders, allergies disclosed, and compliance with any age-related restrictions on services or promotions. If you use an employer, community, or third-party account to access our services, ensure you have authorization from the account owner. We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or block accounts where necessary to protect customers, staff, or the integrity of our supply chain.

Orders, pricing, and payment

Orders placed through our website or customer service are subject to acceptance and availability. Prices displayed on the site include any applicable taxes where indicated; shipping and delivery fees are calculated at checkout. We take care to display current pricing, but in rare cases prices or product availability may change between order placement and fulfillment. We will notify you promptly if an order cannot be fulfilled or if a pricing discrepancy is detected. Payment is processed through third-party, PCI-compliant payment processors. By submitting payment information you authorize the payment provider to charge the selected method for the transaction amount. We do not store full payment card details on our servers. For subscription services, recurring billing occurs according to the subscription plan selected; we will notify you of upcoming charges where required. If a payment fails, we may suspend the order or subscription until a valid payment method is provided. Fees may apply for failed payments or returned items, and we reserve the right to cancel or pause accounts with unresolved payment issues.

Subscriptions, cancellations & changes

Subscriptions are offered for convenience and savings. When you subscribe, you authorize recurring charges according to the chosen cadence. You can modify, pause, or cancel your subscription through your account settings or by contacting customer support prior to the weekly cutoff time displayed for your route. Changes made after the cutoff may apply to the following billing cycle. We provide options to adjust portions, swap items where possible, or skip deliveries. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated at the time of cancellation. Refunds for prepaid subscription periods are handled according to our refund policy and applicable law. If we need to suspend or terminate a subscription for operational reasons, we will notify you and offer alternatives. Promotional offers applied to subscriptions are subject to specific terms and may require a minimum commitment period; early termination of promotional subscriptions may result in forfeiture of certain discounts.

Delivery, returns and refunds

We deliver to listed service areas and specify delivery windows at checkout. Delivery times are estimates and may vary with weather, traffic, or operational constraints. Deliveries are typically left at the designated drop-off location unless you request contactless or hand-off options. Inspect deliveries at receipt and report missing, damaged, or spoiled items to customer service within 48 hours where possible. For perishable goods we may request photos to assess claims. We will evaluate requests promptly and, where appropriate, provide replacement items, credits, or refunds at our discretion. Returns of non-perishable unopened items may be accepted in accordance with our returns policy; contact customer service for instructions. Refunds for eligible returns or order adjustments are issued to the original payment method or, where applicable, as account credit. Shipping and delivery fees are non-refundable unless the issue is the result of our error. For subscription-related adjustments, credits may be applied to future deliveries per the terms communicated at the time of the issue resolution.

Intellectual property and user content

All site content, including text, images, layouts, and branding, is owned or licensed by Maple Grove Organics and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print material for personal, non-commercial use only. Reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative works without prior written permission is prohibited. When you submit content to the site, such as reviews, recipes, or comments, you grant Maple Grove Organics a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and display the content in connection with our business. Do not submit content that infringes third-party rights, contains false claims, or violates the law. We reserve the right to remove user content that violates these terms or our content guidelines. Trademarks and logos displayed on the site remain the property of their respective owners and may not be used without permission.

Limitation of liability and disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maple Grove Organics and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site, products, or services. Our liability for direct damages is limited to the greater of the purchase price paid for the relevant goods or services or a statutory minimum where applicable. While we take measures to ensure product quality and accurate information, organic food is inherently variable and seasonal availability may affect ingredients. We make no warranty that products are free from allergens unless clearly labeled and the information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge. You are responsible for notifying us of any allergy concerns and for verifying ingredient lists when necessary. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be lawfully excluded by applicable legislation. These disclaimers are intended to allocate risk fairly and encourage safe handling and use of delivered food products by customers and households.

Privacy and data handling

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information. By using our services you consent to the collection and processing described in that policy. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect personal information. Third-party processors, such as payment providers and email services, process limited data on our behalf under contractual safeguards. If you wish to access, correct or request deletion of personal data, follow the procedures set forth in the Privacy Policy or contact our Privacy Officer at [email protected]. In some cases, local law allows or requires specific handling of requests; we will respond in accordance with applicable law and our verification procedures.

Governing law, disputes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. For domestic consumers, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your jurisdiction remain in effect and override conflicting terms where applicable. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally should initially be addressed to our support and privacy contacts. If unresolved, disputes may be directed to mediation or the competent courts located in Toronto, Ontario, as appropriate and permitted by law.
